Police: Three Stole Nearly $1,500 in Merchandise from Yorktown CVS

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - Three New York City residents are accused of stealing $1,462.13 worth of merchandise from the CVS on Commerce Street, according to the Yorktown Police Department.

Police initially investigated the theft on Tuesday, April 25. when, they say, three suspects, working together, allegedly stole various merchandise from the store.

Police identified Rasheem Smith, 28, of Brooklyn, Jose L. More, 32, of the Bronx, and Keya E. Wilmont, 29, of the Bronx, as the suspects and issued warrants for their arrest.

The three city residents, in custody at the Putnam County Jail on unrelated charges, were transferred yesterday to Yorktown Police Department headquarters, where they were processed on fourth-degree grand larceny charges.

Cash bail was set at $10,000 for Smith, $25,000 for More and $15,000 for Wilmont. They were then turned back over to the custody of the Putnam County Jail.

They are due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, June 8.
