YORKTOWN, N.Y. - The Hudson Gateway Realtor Foundation, the charitable arm of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, recently presented a check for $2,000 to Support Connection Inc. in Yorktown Heights.
The organization provides emotional, social and educational support to women, their families and friends affected by breast and ovarian cancer. Their support services are always free and confidential to anyone seeking support or information regarding all aspects of diagnosis, treatment, recovery and beyond, for themselves or for a loved one.
“We are so thankful to the Hudson Gateway Realtor Foundation for their support,” said Katherine Quinn, executive director of Support Connection. “Our professional peer counselors are all cancer survivors who can answer questions about living with cancer from the unique perspective of someone who’s been there.”
Support Connection is one of 17 local Hudson Valley charities benefitting from the foundation, which raised more than $30,000 at its September “Monte Carlo Night Gala” at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle. Established in 2004 and relaunched in 2013, the foundation has donated thousands of dollars to charities and non-profits throughout the Hudson Valley.
