YORKTOWN, N.Y. - The St. Patrick’s School fifth-grade class hosted its annual Senior Tea on Wednesday, Oct. 26. The event welcomed more than 150 seniors from a variety of neighborhoods and senior facilities, such as Jefferson Village, Beaver Ridge, Drum Hill Residence and Yorktown Senior Center. The students also wrote stories about their “Golden Guests,” who would be enjoying the tea, such as grandparents, relatives and neighbors.

Students asked several guests their thoughts of the Senior Tea. First-time guest Jane Ryan was asked what the Senior Tea meant to her, she replied, “It’s a wonderful idea and great way to make older people happy!” Another Golden Guest said “the service was delightful, the food is good and service with a smile!” The children are always excited to partake in this large community service project, which has become a tradition at St. Patrick’s School.
