YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Solaris Sports Club in Yorktown Heights is celebrating its 15th year in business.
Built in the 1970s as a neighborhood tennis club, Yorktown Indoor Tennis brought the popular racquet sport to the community and operated as such for nearly 30 years.
In 2002, the family-operated club was converted to a multipurpose facility and became known as Solaris Sports Club. The area was in need of other amenities like group exercise studios, fitness equipment and personal training. Mostly, the owners wanted to bring additional indoor sports to the area since the town of Yorktown is very sports-oriented with its local high school teams consistently scoring top in the county.
Solaris consistently strives to provide a supportive and welcoming environment for all local residents regardless of one’s level of fitness. The club’s team of tennis and sports coaches, certified fitness professionals and customer care staff work to help their members and guests achieve an active and healthy lifestyle.
Come join Solaris from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 22, as it celebrates this milestone event. Special membership rates, prizes, classes, food and drinks will be served.
