All three vehicles were driving in the same direction, McMorris said, when the dump truck allegedly rear-ended the vehicle, causing it to slam into the school bus.

The school bus was carrying six preschool students. Though the students did not appear to be injured, they were transferred to Hudson Valley Hospital Center as a precaution, McMorris said. She did not know to which school the bus belonged, but said it is a private preschool.

She said the driver of the vehicle that collided with the school bus suffered minor injuries.

McMorris did not know if tickets had been issued.
