Yorktown residents can walk, run, jog or bike safely once again using a paved path running from Gomer Street to Katrina Drive that has been inaccessible for years due to the dumping of debris.
During the past 10 years, I had contacted the highway department to report the problem of dumping along the path. Unfortunately, I never received a response to my request to resolve the problem.
I would like to commend the response of Dave Paganelli, Yorktown highway superintendent, to my recent request for his assistance to correct the problem.
When I contacted Mr. Paganelli, I received a courteous and prompt response. The tree stumps and debris were removed, and the path is now passable to the local residents.
Again, I would like to extend my thanks to Dave Paganelli for resolving this problem.
