Despite getting outscored in the opening half, Yorktown showed plenty of resiliency in the second half. After dominating Yorktown in the first half, Spring Valley outscored the Huskers by just five, 26-21, in the second half.

“We were more energetic and eager to cut down on the large margin that Spring Valley had over us so we really needed to get the ball as much as possible,” Lundberg said.

Tommy Weaver (6 points), Roni Brucaj (3), Mike Broder (3), Ben Schumer (2), Joe Sgobbo (2) and Brandon Carter (1) also got into the scoring column for the Huskers (1-4).
