“Quality of life” issues are the stuff of local elections. If the officials we elected to the Town Board choose to delegate those issues to a committee, then we have no need of the Town Board. A leading “quality of life” issue has been affordable housing. I believe that any five Yorktown adults selected at random could handle the issue better than our Town Board has done. I recommend that a committee, possibly selected by a youth panel, replace the board.
