On Thursday evening, Oct. 5, Hilltop Hanover Farm sponsored its third annual Farm-to-Table Dinner. For the second consecutive year, the RE/MAX hot air balloon was there as a major attraction.
On Tuesday, Oct. 3, the plans for supporting and securing the hot air balloon suddenly fell through. I frantically emailed Fire Chief Jason Swart for help and apologized for the late notice. His only response was, ”What time?”
I would like to thank Fire Chief Jason Swart, Assistant Chief Derek Grisanti, Lt. Rich Weber, and firefighters Joe Bergen, Sean Nikishier and Giuseppe Passalacqua for assisting in supporting and holding down the balloon. Next year, I will email much earlier!
The firemen’s response and utmost professionalism make me proud to say I live in Yorktown Heights.
