Editor’s Note: This letter is in response to a letter written by Robert Reiss titled “No More Banks in Yorktown!”
I’m in agreement here with Robert Reiss on adding another bank to Yorktown’s collection of them. There is so much space and opportunity for change that would highlight Yorktown’s beauty. As it is, Yorktown has no heart, no soul in planning for its future. Reiss is right: when I want to walk around a village to find some prettiness, an interesting little store or to eat some food other than pizza, I go to Peekskill or Mount Kisco. If you try to walk around Yorktown, you take your life in your hands. This is overstatement, I know, but Yorktown has potential. Let’s use it to add heart and interest to our community.
