In his Dec. 1 letter to the editor, David Witkowich again tried to articulate his disdain for Supervisor Michael Grace and his plans for improving the downtown business district. But again, Mr. Witkowich’s windy letter only showed his lack of understanding of how government works and his lack of vision for the town of Yorktown.
The plan to move the centrally located garage to free up commercially viable property is forward thinking that flies in the face of the regressive Democratic Party. Their chronic no votes stagnated projects in this town for too long. The “Party of No” has been marginalized by the voters and throwing groundless accusations at the supervisor only shows contempt for the people of Yorktown.
Supervisor Grace will succeed and the town of Yorktown will continue to be a pro-business, pro-environmental community living up to the motto: Progress with Preservation.
