YORKTOWN, N.Y.-No. 19-seeded Yorktown went down to the wire but fell just short, 65-61, to host No. 14 Ossining on Feb. 14 in the outbracket round of the Section 1 Class AA boys basketball tournament.
Marc Spinelli excelled offensively for Yorktown as he led the Huskers with 19 points.
“I was able to find a lot of holes in the defense in the second half and executed inside,” said Spinelli, a senior captain.
Fellow senior captain James Lundberg (12 points, 11 rebounds) and Anthony Ortiz (9 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks) also stood out for Yorktown (7-14).
“James and Anthony were playing so well because their shots were falling and they were very aggressive,” Spinelli said.
