YORKTOWN, N.Y.-Lisa Rolle has been appointed to the Yorktown Central School District Board of Education, filling the vacancy left by Thomas Donatelli, who resigned in December.
Rolle’s appointment was unanimously approved by the board. She will serve until May 15, when the next trustee election takes place.
“I am looking forward to working with the school board and administration in continuing the excellent work for which this district is known,” Rolle said to Yorktown News via email.
Rolle was selected from a pool of candidates who applied for a trustee position last year, when Christine Montero resigned. Instead of opening up a new search, the board revisited candidates who previously interviewed.
Rolle is a partner in the New York and Connecticut offices of Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry LLP. She is a trial and appellate attorney who defends matters involving New York Labor Law, premises liability, products liability, environmental, transportation, legal malpractice and construction.
Rolle serves on the Advisory Board of the Yorktown Youth Court. She is also the vice president of the Mildred E. Strang Parent Teacher Association. Previously, she was co-president of the Yorktown Central School District Council of the PTAs and president of the Yorktown High School PTA. She also serves as the chairperson of several committees of the Yorktown PTAs.
