YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Kevin Fink, a senior at Yorktown High School, has been selected to perform at the Eastern Division Honors Festival held in Pittsburgh in April. The event is sponsored by the National Association for Music Education.
He will be among the more than 200 students selected from school music programs across the state. Six hundred students will participate in Honors Band, Orchestra and Choirs selected from schools across the east coast.
As a member of the All-Eastern Orchestra, Fink will rehearse and perform with renowned conductor Jung-Ho Pak.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our students,” said Nancy Torrente, Yorktown High School orchestra teacher. “They will work collaboratively with other young musicians from schools outside of New York and gain valuable experience by working with renown master conductors.”
