YORKTOWN, N.Y – A Toys “R” Us employee was charged with grand larceny last week after she allegedly stole more than $1,500 from store, according to the Yorktown Police Department.

Police say that Yorktown resident Tiffany A. Hernandez, 19, stole $1,509.39 between Dec. 18 and Jan. 31, while working at Toys “R” Us, located at 621 Bank Road. Hernandez allegedly completed fraudulent transactions, crediting herself the money in cash or credit on numerous occasions, according to police.

Because the theft was greater than $1,000, Hernandez was charged with fourth-degree felony grand larceny. She was released on $100 bail and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 8.
