Support Connection Kick-Off

Support Connection is having a Kickoff Breakfast for its annual Support-a-Walk for Breast and Ovarian Cancer from 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22. The celebration will be hosted by NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, in the main lobby of the Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Kickoff Breakfast is free and open to everyone. There will be breakfast, networking, and door prize drawings. It’s also a chance to learn about the Support-a-Walk. Support Connection staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and assist anyone who wants to participate in the walk. Brochures, flyers and other materials will be available, along with info on donating, fundraising, forming teams, and ways to participate even if you can’t attend the walk.

The Support-a-Walk for Breast and Ovarian Cancer will take place on Sunday, Oct. 7 (rain or shine) at FDR Park, Route 202, Yorktown Heights. It is held to bring attention to the needs of people affected by breast and ovarian cancer, and to raise funds for Support Connection’s free support services for those living with these diseases.
