YORKTOWN, N.Y. - Thirty children and their chaperones from the Coachman Family Center in White Plains were treated to a Christmas celebration at the Yorktown Elks Lodge on Dec.12.

The children were treated to an evening of dinner, games and, as expected, a visit from Santa. Each child received a homemade knitted cap and scarf set, along with a personal gift from Santa. The children were then treated to cookies, cakes and ice cream, before heading home.

The leftover cookies and cakes were packaged up and sent back with the attendees to be shared with others at the shelter who were unable to join the party.
