Lakeland School Board Elects New President, Vice President

President Denise Kness and Vice President Rachelle Nardelli Credits: Lakeland Central School District

SHRUB OAK, N.Y. – Trustees on the Lakeland Central School District Board of Education have elected Denise Kness president and Rachelle Nardelli vice president for the 2017-18 school year.

Kness, who previously served as vice president of the board, is a 20-year resident of Yorktown Heights. A school volunteer for the past 14 years, Kness was re-elected to her second three-year term on the board in May. Prior to joining the board, she served as co-president of the Thomas Jefferson PTA and president and vice president of the Lakeland Education Foundation.

Nardelli was also re-elected to her second term in May. A resident of Yorktown Heights for 14 years, she has a master’s degree in elementary education and is a New York State-certified teacher. Nardelli has been co-president of the Thomas Jefferson PTA and the Lakeland District Parents Council.
