YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A 26-year-old man from the Bronx accused of possessing several different types of illegal drugs has been charged with two felonies and one misdemeanor, according to the Yorktown Police Department.

Around 11:40 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, Police Officer James Hannigan identified “suspicious activity” by the man, who was sitting in his parked car at a gas station on East Main Street in Mohegan Lake.

When approaching the car, Officer Hannigan allegedly saw the Bronx man use cocaine. Police said the man was also in possession of Alprazolam pills, MDMA pills, tabs of acid and about 21.5 grams of marijuana.

He was arraigned by Town Justice Gary Raniolo, who set bail at $5,000 cash or bond. He was remanded to Westchester County Jail.

Identity Theft Arrest

A 30-year-old Carmel woman is accused of paying off $3,317.49 worth of cellphone bills using another person’s personal information, according to police.

Police began investigating the complaint in August. The woman was described by police as being “uncooperative” with the investigation.

She was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree identity theft and third-degree grand larceny, both Class D felonies.

She was arraigned by Raniolo, who set bail at $10,000 cash or bond. She was remanded to Westchester County Jail.
