I was 6 years old when I started playing competitive hockey. My grandfather would take me to the rink to learn how to skate when I was 3 years old.
What is your favorite thing about being on the Lakeland-Panas hockey team?
My favorite thing about being on Lakeland-Panas is that I am able to play with players from ninth to 12th grade like my brother, who is in ninth grade and who I normally would not play with on travel.
What are your individual and team goals for the rest of the season?
My goal for the team is to perform well during the playoffs unlike our previous two seasons. For me I am just trying to get as many points as possible and make the most of my last year in varsity hockey.
Do you know what you want to study in college? If yes, what are you planning on studying and why?
I would like to study engineering, mostly environmental engineering. I am interested in it because I love the outdoors and how technology can help preserve the beauties of it as well as being able to help people to survive all over the world. I just want one of those jobs that when someone asks my wife what I do she says I don’t really know but he makes a lot of money.
What music do you listen to before a game?
I listen to all types of music but mostly country.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
The ability to go back in time, but not to change anything though, because I love my life, but just to see the ones that I’ve lost along the way.
What is something about yourself people would be surprised to learn?
I play tennis for the varsity team during the spring.
What is your favorite place to visit on vacation and why?
My favorite place is Lake George because I love the Adirondacks and the amount of things one can do all year round.
What is your favorite place to eat locally?
My favorite place to eat locally is Romano’s Pizza and Pasta, mostly because I’m a delivery driver there and eat there the most during my week.
What’s the go-to app on your phone and why?
The go-to-app on my phone is YouTube, mostly because that’s where besides school I learn things everyday through watching videos. Whether it’s watching a fishing video or learning how to fix my car it’s the one app that I spend most of my time on and without it I would probably get bored way too often.
For a young athlete growing up in the Lakeland school district, what would you tell them about the experience of being part of the hockey team and why should they go out for the team?
This sport isn’t for everyone. It takes hard work, determination, patience and respect to learn and succeed at this sport. Don’t be afraid to get hit or hurt because that’s what makes this sport so fun yet tough.
