YORKTOWN, N.Y. – The Yorktown Huskers, a 12U Yorktown Athletic Club baseball team, finished their fall season by winning their first-ever Greater Hudson Valley Baseball Championship.

The Huskers beat Hardball, 4-3, in an extra-innings thriller on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Route 202 fields in Yorktown.

Hardball tied the game in the sixth inning then took the lead in top of the eighth on a close play at the plate. The Huskers won it by scoring two runs in the bottom of the eighth.

The Huskers won behind strong performances from Jack Falk, who pitched 6 innings, and Bruno Bartolomei and Gabriel Iavarone, whose bats sparked the eighth-inning comeback.
