Sparta Police: Man Passed Out in Middle of Route 15 Charged with DWI

SPARTA, NJ – Police were called to check on a man who was passed out on Route 15 in the lane of traffic near the Sparta Car Wash.  On Oct 15 Sgt. Keith Hannam went to the area and found a “2004 Honda stopped on the painted median that divided the north and southbound lanes,” according to police.

Infants Should Sleep in Parents’ Room Say New Guidelines for Preventing Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)

At a national conference last week, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) updated their SIDS prevention guidelines. Based on new research, the updated recommendations call for infants to sleep in the same room (but NOT the same bed) as the parents (or caregiver), for the first 6 months of life.

MOUNT OLIVE, N.J. - A 21-year-old woman's recent decision to report that she was sexually assaulted for seven years while she was a juvenile, led police to charge two Budd Lake men with aggravated sexual assaulted, it was announced Friday.
