Sparta Police: Morris Plains Woman Arrested with Multiple Outstanding Warrants, New Drug and Weapon Charges

SPARTA, NJ – What began as a call to police about an unwanted visitor ended with a Morris Plains woman facing drug and weapons charges.  On July 9 around 6:45 p.m. Sparta Police responded to a call on West Mountain Avenue, police report.

As candidates running to represent Sussex, Warren, and Morris Counties in the State Legislature, my running mate Kate Matteson and I are spending quite a bit of time learning about the needs of Hopatcong residents.  As we knock on doors and make phone calls, one of the complaints we hear regularly is that the State has severely neglected Lake Hopatcong.  This is a travesty.

Medication Errors on the Rise: Are You Taking Your Medication Correctly?

Using data from national Poison Control Centers, researchers analyzed the more than 67,000 reports of medication errors occurring outside of a health care facility between 2000 - 2012 and found the rate of serious medical consequences doubled during this period. The greatest number of errors involved cardiovascular medications and the greatest number of deaths were from pain medication errors.

MORRISTOWN, NJ -  The House Appropriations Committee voted to take the first steps to re-open horse slaughter plants in the United States. Rodney Frelinghuysen R-NJ, along with twenty six lawmakers voted "yes" to reopen the slaughter plants. Twenty five lawmakers were on the other side voting to protect the animal.
